We are a group of local residents working together to create a park that serves the local community. Some of us have lived here for decades, while others have moved to the area recently.
We all need spaces where we can enjoy meeting friends and neighbours and be in nature. Our hope is that this park will be used and treasured by young children, older people and everyone in between.
New joiners and ideas are always welcome because the more people get involved in making the park enjoyable, safe and nature friendly, then the more likely it is to thrive.
Friends Of Friendly Gardens consists of local volunteers, working to maintain and improve this precious green space for the whole community.
The friends meet regularly, put on events and make grant applications to improve the park. We do not receive council or government funding as an organisation, so we rely totally on sponsorship, donations and the support of local people.
Our volunteers are people who enjoy the park and have decided to put something back in any way they can, from organising small events such as litter picks or planting, to hosting large community events.
