About That Place in the Park
Our Playgroup
Have you ever wondered what the building in Friendly Gardens is? We are a community playgroup for children and their carers. We host breakfast club, provide delicious lunches and we can do morning drop off to Ashmead School, St Stephens and Lucas Vale.

We started at That Place in the Park when it was a Sure Start Centre a long time ago. When the funding was cut we decided to continue running the playgroup together. We have known each other for over 30 years and love working here.
